As if October 31 doesn’t come fast enough, filming is already set to begin on Halloween Kills, the upcoming sequel to 2018’s Halloween, starring franchise legend Jamie Lee Curtis. Cameras will roll on Sept. 12 with the first scenes in Wilmington, NC according to the city’s local news.
The Port City is considered to be “Hollywood East” where many feature films and TV series have been made, such as The Crow, Iron Man 3, Virus (also starring Curtis), Fox’s Sleepy Hollow and One Tree Hill. The suburb area is perfect for a new nightmare in Haddonfield.
According to the news outlet a film permit application has been released by the city, stating crews will be shooting “news reporter dialogue” at the corner of Carolina and Wrightsville avenues from 4 to 11 PM EST on 9/12.
Blumhouse Productions has confirmed the location is where both followups to the 2018 reboot, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, will be filmed.
The sequels are scheduled to be released on October 16, 2020 and October 15, 2021 respectively.
