Toho is planning a new Godzilla film for a 2016 release in Japan. Titled ‘Godzilla: Final Wars’, and the first Japanese ‘Godzilla’ film since 2004, the new film is inspired by the success of the American ‘Godzilla’ film by Gareth Edwards. Production is set to being next summer, although no director or cast have been announced yet. A sequel to the American reboot is set for 2018.
