The new series–written by Teen Wolf executive producer Jeff Davis–is based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom. The storyline follows a teenage boy, Everett (Armani Jackson), and girl, Blake (Bella Shepard), “whose lives are forever changed when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature,” according to the logline.

In the show, Gellar plays chief arson investigator Kristin Ramsey, who finds herself wrapped up in the frightening mysteries. She’s joined in the ensemble cast by Rodrigo Santoro, Chloe Rose Robertson and Tyler Lawrence Gray.

With this being the 19-year anniversary of the final episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Gellar recently looked back on that experience and forward to Wolf Park. “One of the beauties of Buffy,” she said, “was the metaphorical aspect of it. The real monsters were the metaphors for the horrors of high school, and to me, that’s what made the show so important–and why it stands the test of time.”

So, when she read the script for Wolf Pack and spoke to Davis about joining the show, Gellar said they “discussed the issues he wanted to tackle–mainly anxiety and depression among children, specifically having to do with their use of devices and the lack of connectivity.”

With no release date yet announced, keep reading Horror News Network for the next update on Wolf Pack on Paramount+.
