“Whoever is bitten by a werewolf and lives becomes a werewolf himself.”

Perhaps it wasn’t the right phase of the moon to release the Wolf Man film on October 25, 2024. Leigh Whannell’s reimaging of the Universal classic The Wolf Man from Blumhouse has been pushed to January 17, 2025.

The official synopsis of the upcoming film is as follows: “A man must protect himself and his family when they are being stalked, terrorized, and haunted by a deadly werewolf at night during a full moon.” It is currently shooting in New Zealand and stars Julia Garner, Christopher Abbott and Sam Jaeger.

Released by Universal Pictures on December 9, 1941, The Wolf Man starred Lon Chaney Jr. as Larry Talbot, a man who returned to his ancestral home in Llanwelly, Wales, to bury his recently deceased brother. Larry is later bitten by a werewolf thus turning him into one himself.
