Vampires just wanna have fun.

What We Do in the Shadows–the popular FX horror-comedy series–returns for its fourth season July 12, and an outline of what fans can expect this summer was unveiled this week, according to a report on comicbook.com.

The vampire series–based on the feature film by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi–stars Kayvan Novak as Nandor, Matt Berry as Laszlo, Natasia Demetriou as Nadja, Mark Proksch as Colin and Harvey Guillen as their human familiar Guillermo.

As fans may recall, Season 3 ended with Nandor, Guillermo and Nadja leaving their Staten Island home to go their separate ways, while Laszlo stayed home “to care for the creature that clawed its way out of the chest of the deceased Colin–aka Baby Colin,” according to the synopsis.

As Season 4 starts, the vampires return home “to find their mansion on the verge of total collapse–and with no money to repair it. While Nandor’s eternal search for love finally yields results, Nadja finally realizes her dream of opening a vampire nightclub.”

Meanwhile, Laszlo “struggles with the question of nature vs. nurture as he tries to raise Baby Colin, and Guillermo finds himself on a powerful emotional track that touches on his love for his family and for others.”

Season 4 also holds “such terrifying locations as the secret, supernatural Night Market, the Jersey Pine Barrens, a wedding altar, more strange beasts and surprising guest stars–with a touch of home renovation.”
