A good werewolf movie doesn’t rear its shaggy head every full moon–and the folks at Black Mandala hope their new entry is one of the rare hits.
The Hunting–Mark Andrew Hamer’s feature film directorial debut–carries the tagline, “Hunger runs deep,” as reported by JoBlo.com, and a graphic trailer for the flick can be viewed below.
Hamer–who cut his genre teeth (fangs?) as visual effects supervisor on 2019’s I See You–wrote the screenplay with Heather and Terrance Ryan. The trio also produced the film.
The Hunting–starring Peyton Hillis, Joelle Westwood, Joaquin Guerrero and Keith Migra–kicks into high gear when “a mysterious animal attack leaves a mutilated body in the forest” near a small town, according to the official synopsis.
Reacting to that bad news, “a conservative detective must enlist the help of a wildlife specialist to uncover the dark and disturbing truth that threatens the town.” Cue the spooky music.
