More creepy and kooky is on the way.
Wednesday–the hit Netflix series based on the classic ’60s TV show The Addams Family–became a huge hit soon after debuting late last year, and the second season now has a starting point, according to a report on Deadline.
Season 2 of the Jenna Ortega-led show–created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and executive producer/director Tim Burton–reportedly will starting shooting in Ireland in late April 2024. The first season was shot in Romania from September 2021 through March 2022.
While the new scripts are being written, there’s been no word on cast confirmations–but reports indicate that the second season may see additional Addams Family members and might further explore Wednesday’s relationship with her mother Morticia. Which probably means Catherine Zeta-Jones will likely reprise that role.
Also, Ortega–who will also serve as a producer for Season 2–has indicated that the new episodes will emphasize more horror elements and fewer romantic angles.
