‘We Bury The Dead’ Aims For Early 2024 Production Start

The past never stays buried.

A new survival thriller with the intriguing title of We Bury The Dead will start shooting in Australia next February, according to a report on Deadline.

Daisy Ridley (Rey of the latest Star Wars trilogy) will star in the horror film from writer/director Zak Hilditch, who helmed the adaptation of Stephen King’s 1922.

The film–produced by Kelvin Munro, Grant Sputore and Ross Dinerstein–follows Ava (Ridley), a woman whose husband goes missing after a disastrous military experiment. Hoping to find him alive, Ava joins a “body retrieval unit, but her search takes a chilling turn when the corpses she’s burying start showing signs of life.”
