Waxwork Records Turns Count Orlok Into Spinature Mini-Bust

by Thomas Tuna

There’s nothing like taking the undead for a little spin.

Waxwork Records is expanding its Spinature line with a Count Orlok figure (from the horror classic Nosferatu) that goes on sale tomorrow, July 15. Check out photos of the collectible–courtesy of The Toyark–on this page.

The Spinature mini-bust–which stands four inches tall–can be displayed on its own or used as a decorative spinner that sits in the middle of a playing record.

The Count Orlok figure–priced at $30–is a detailed bust that depicts the vampire breaking free from his coffin lid, surrounded by his pet rats. The sculpt is by Max Pinhiero, with box art by Robert Sammelin.

Nosferatu–the 1922 silent German horror film directed by F.W. Murnau from a screenplay by Henrik Galeen (and adapted from Bram Stoker’s 1897 Dracula)–stars Max Schreck as Count Orlok, a vampire who preys on the wife of his real estate agent and brings the deadly plague to the town.
