Waxwork Records to Release ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2’ Score

Don’t mess with Texas.

This year has been a huge revival for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise.  A new Massacre film by David Blue Garcia premiered on Netflix (read our review here) on February 18th, and now Waxwork Records has revealed The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 original motion picture score by Jerry Lambert in on its way.

According to Waxwork, the album has been sourced from the original 1986 master tapes and then mixed and sequenced into a cohesive album listening experience by Lambert, the score features over 90 minutes of dark musique concréte by utilizing musical cues, synthesizers, drones, field recordings, audio manipulation, wind, tape loops, animal snarls, and sampling.

Written and directed by Tobe Hooper, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 was released on August 22, 1986 by Cannon Films. The film starred Dennis Hopper, Bill Johnson, Bill Moseley, Caroline Williams, Jim Siedow and Lou Perryman.
