Blade Runner 2049, the highly anticipated sequel to the 1982 Ridley Scott masterpiece is right around the corner! It launches in theaters on October 6th, 2017, but you can watch a brand new making-of featurette, courtesy of Warner Bros. Studios, today.
Entitled “Time to Live,” (a play on Roy Batty’s and Leon Kowalski’s famous line, “Time to die!” from the original film) the clip shines some light on the creative process of Scott, director Denis Villeneuve, and actors Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling. In the video, art director Paul Inglis has this to say about the nostalgic-yet-original look of the new movie:
“It’s not just a replica of the first film. We’re marrying the familiar with the slightly divergent in order to give ourselves an identity.”
