‘War of the Worlds’ Heads to AMC Premiere

Our friends at Deadline reported that AMC Premiere has picked up the BBC drama The War of the Worlds. The sale to AMC makes the science fiction drama now available in 221 territories in the world.

Based on the novel by H.G. Wells, the synopsis of the series is:
When a mysterious capsule lands in Surrey, George and Amy are caught in a Martian invasion, fighting for their love and their lives against an enemy beyond their comprehension.

Review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes currently shows the series with a 67% “Tomatometer” rating.

Having premiered on November 17, 2019, The War of the Worlds is executive produced by Peter Harness, Damien Timmer and Craig Viveiros featuring cinematography by James Friend. The three-episode series stars Greg Kinnear, Eleanor Tomlinson, Rafe Spall, Robert Carlyle, Jonathan Aris, Rupert Graves, Woody Norman and Nicholas Le Prevost.
