It’s a good day for an exorcism.

Vertical has landed the rights for The Exorcism, according to a report on Deadline, and has just released the trailer, which can be seen below for the upcoming feature.

Directed by Joshua John Miller, The Exorcism stars Russell Crowe, Sam Worthington, Chloe Bailey, Adam Goldberg, David Hyde Pierce and Ryan Simpkins.

The film centers on Anthony Miller (Crowe), a troubled actor who begins to unravel while shooting a supernatural horror film. His estranged daughter (Simpkins) wonders if he’s slipping back into his past addictions or if there’s something more sinister at play.

“Joshua has a profound expertise in this genre, and we applaud his creation of a film that reverently nods to classic horror while adding a fresh twist,” said Vertical Partner Peter Jarowey “We want to thank everyone at Miramax for their partnership and are looking forward to bringing the film to theatres nationwide this summer.”

The film is slated to be released on June 7, 2024. Keep it locked to Horror News Network for more on The Exorcism.
