Deadline is reporting that Adrian Brody and Vera Farmiga have signed on to Ant Timpson’s The Salamander Lives Twice. The two are genre fan favorites with Brody, best known for Predators, Splice, and The Village, while Farmiga is best known for The Conjuring film franchise and Bates Motel. Some may have seen Timpson’s last film, 2019’s critically acclaimed Come to Daddy starring Elijah Wood. He was also the Producer behind The ABCs of Death and ABCs of Death 2 horror anthologies. Producing this latest project with him will be Emma Slade for Firefly Films and Katie Holly for Blinder Films
The Salamander Lives Again is a writing collaboration between Timpson and Toby Harvard. The film’s plot is described as following “an injured man (Brody) with an impenetrable briefcase and no memory who is found on the shoreline of a remote island by Iris and her daughter Goggy (Farmiga), the last remaining members of a once prosperous family dynasty.”
While the details are still very sparse on the film, the cast working under Timpson’s direction appears promising. Keep it locked to Horror News Network for updates on The Salamander Lives Twice
