Eddie Brock and his violent friend are prepping for action.
Venom 3–the latest entry in the successful Marvel/Sony horror/super-hero franchise–has traveled to Spain, according to a report in Murcia Today, and shooting is expected to start before the end of the month.
The new film-slated for an October 2024 theatrical release–will shoot in Cartegena and Calblanque in Spain under the working title of Orwell.
Starring Tom Hardy (reprising his roles as Eddie Brock and Venom), Chiwetel Ejiofor and Juno Temple, the feature is being directed by Kelly Marcel (who wrote and produced the first two films) from a screenplay she wrote with Hardy.
Little else is known about Venom 3, but reports indicate this will likely be the final chapter in the franchise–or at least the final film with Hardy headlining the cast.
The last entry–Venom: Let There Be Carnage–follows Brock’s battle with serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) after he becomes the host of the symbiote Carnage. A hit at the box office, the film raked in more than $500 million worldwide on a $110-million budget.
