USAopoloy Releases “Trivial Pursuit: Horror Movie Edition”

I haven’t played Trivial Pursuit in years but it looks like I’ll be taking another crack at it soon enough as the folks at USAopoly have released a “Horror Movie Edition” which I managed to snag today. While not like the classic version of the game that I grew up with (there’s no game board or dozens of multi-colored pie pieces to either lose or step on like legos), the game still calls upon that part of your brain that stores (mostly) useless knowledge; this time in the form of horror films.

From USAopoly’s website:

The Movie Horror Edition of Trivial Pursuit® allows players to test their knowledge of 100 years of horror including 600 questions relating to psychological thrillers, epic monster films, the paranormal and the goriest and most disturbing cinema of all time. Categories include: Monster, Gore/Disturbing, Psychological, Paranormal, Slasher, International.

After unboxing at work, a few co-workers decided to quiz me with the cards and I was happy to see that the questions covered not just the well-known films like 30 Days of Night and The Ring but also some more “deep-in-the-genre” films like Starry Eyes and The Wizard of Gore. At first glance, it seems that the game may be suitable for both hardcore and casual horror film fans.

Trivial Pursuit: Horror Movie Edition is available at GameStop stores (which is where I purchased mine), ToyWiz, some comic shops and Amazon. Enjoy some pictures below and grab a copy soon for your next game night!
