Blood in the Seine.
Shark terror comes to Paris next year as an as-yet-untitled underwater thriller is slated for Netflix sometime in 2024, according to Variety. Check out the first-look images on this page.
The finny French film original–from director Xavier Gens (The Divide)–stars Berenice Bejo (The Artist), Nassim Lyes (Overdose ) and Lea Leviant (Savage Days). No production schedule or exact release date was made available.
Set in Paris in 2024, the film follows the World Triathlon Championships, held for the first time on the Seine. As luck would have it, a scientist named Sophia learns from a young environmental activist named Mika that a large shark is swimming deep in the famous river.
So, naturally, they have no choice but to team up with the Seine River police commander “to avoid a bloodbath in the heart of the city,” according to the synopsis.
