You’ll believe that horses(?) can fly.
The first trailer for Jordan Peele’s new horror film Nope dropped at last month’s Super Bowl, and this week, a bizarre poster serves to heighten the wonder surrounding this film. Check out the image of a horse (along with other objects) being taken skyward on this page.
Nope–written, directed and produced by Oscar winner Peele– is being described by Universal Pictures as “an expansive horror epic” and a new “pop nightmare”. The only logline available says the movie will deal with “residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.”
That discovery–as hinted at in the trailer–seems to have something to do with an alien invasion. An invasion with sinister intentions.
Nope–said to follow in the same vein as the “terrifying and subversive tales” told in Peele’s Get Out and Us–stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Michael Wincott, Brandon Perea and Barbie Ferreira. The film–which wrapped production late last year–will be released in theaters July 22.
