Just yesterday, Universal announced that Alisha Weir had joined Melissa Barrera of Scream fame in its new (and untitled) monster project, and now another cast member with genre ties has signed on, according to a report on Deadline.
Dan Stevens–who headlines the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire–is now on board in an unspecified role. The horror pic will be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a screenplay by Stephen Shields (with an assist from Guy Busick).
The feature is being wrapped in all kinds of secrecy, but reports have indicated it will offer “a unique take on legendary monster lore and a fresh direction for how to celebrate these classic characters.” The project reportedly was once titled Dracula’s Daughter–so take from that what you will.
