“In space no one can hear you scream.”

Two brand new images, which can be seen below, have recently been revealed for Alien: Romulus. The first image as seen on Total Film, showcases Cailee Spaeny’s character Rain Carradine with a flamethrower. The other image, courtesy of Fandango, features Spaeny with David Jonsson and Archie Renaux.

The new film is set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). The official synopsis of the film reads “Young people on a distant world find themselves confronting the most terrifying life-form in the universe.”

Directed by Fede Alvarez, Alien: Romulus stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu.

Alvarez tells Total Film “The environments, and the pace of it as well – it’s more similar to Alien for quite a bit,” he adds. “And then gradually – you won’t even know – you feel like it’s more Aliens. It’s a natural progression, and it happens effortlessly.”

The film is scheduled to be released on August 16, 2024. Keep it locked to Horror News Network for more on Alien: Romulus.
