Two More Cast Members Sign Up For Eli Roth’s ‘Thanksgiving’

The holiday table is filling up.

Thanksgiving–a new horror flick based on Eli Roth’s mock trailer that appeared in 2007’s Grindhouse–has added its two young leads, according to The Hollywood Reporter, just one day after announcing that Addison Rae had joined the cast.

The Spyglass Media Group film–which starts shooting next month–will have Jalen Thomas Brooks (Walker) and Nell Verlaque (Big Shot) in leading roles, alongside Rae and Patrick Dempsey. Sources indicate the casting will continue, with Roth reportedly on the lookout for up-and-coming talent.

The feature–which does not yet have a release window–will be directed by Roth from a screenplay by Jeff Rendell. Roth and Roger Birnbaum will serve as producers.

The mock trailer–part of the double feature Grindhouse from Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez–is about “a pseudo movie in which a slasher makes his own carving board out of the inhabitants of a Massachusetts town,” according to the logline. Even Roth gets into the bloody scenario–he’s famously separated from his head in one memorable scene.
