Twiztid to Bring Astronomicon to Detroit in 2018

Horror-core icons Twiztid, who recently started up their own record label (MNE Records), just announced that they’re ready to conquer the convention world as well.  In a video posted to their Facebook page, Jamie Madrox and Monoxide announced that on the weekend of February 9-11, 2018, the Wyndham Garden in Sterling Heights, MI will host Astronomicon.  This con, while still being heavy on the juggalo love, will be a celebration of all pop culture in a family environment.

Twiztid’s love of all things horror will be respresented at Astronomicon, as the first three confirmed celebrity guests are Mick Foley (Big Money Hustlas), Sid Haig (House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects), and Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th, Hatchet).  While the Detroit area is home to the annual Motor City Comic Con (happening this weekend in Novi), this convention will be considerably more dark and horror-filled than its counterpart.  Astronomicon will not be an answer to the Gathering of the Juggalos (happening July 26-29 in Oklahoma City, OK), which was a concern following Twiztid’s social media-heavy recent split with ICP’s Psychopathic Records.  This will be more in line with Wizard World or MonsterMania.

Twiztid promise many more guest announcements in the coming months, and have set up a website (www.astronomicon.com) to keep fans and attendees up to date. But stay tuned to HNN as well for any news on this brand new con as it breaks!
