Rob Kazinsky, known for ‘True Blood’ and ‘Pacific Rim’, has been cast as the monster in Fox’s upcoming pilot ‘Frankenstein’. Rand Ravich and Howard Gordon are behind the new Mary Shelly inspired drama, about a retired cop (Kazinsky) who is resurrected from the dead. The morally corrupt Ray Pritchard is given a second chance at life, in a younger, stronger body, and must choose between his old ways and a more meaningful life. The Frankenstein “monster” is described as athletic, strong and handsome. However, his mind is still that of the 75 year old curmudgeon. Kazinsky joins Adhir Kaylan (Rules of Engagement), who is cast as Otto Goodwin, one of his creators. Ravich and Gordon are writing the pilot, in addition to executive producing. Hugh Fitzpatrick is co-executive producing the Fox drama, and Michael Cuesta is directing the pilot in addition to executive producing.
