Another Mike Flanagan take on Stephen King.
The Life of Chuck–another slice of Stephen King’s 2000 horror anthology If It Bleeds–is one more Mike Flanagan film adaptation of the horror master–and this week, three more actors signed on for the bumpy ride, according to a report on Deadline.
Writer/director Flanagan–already known for his takes on such King classics as Doctor Sleep and Gerald’s Game–has enlisted genre standouts Chiwetel Ejiofor (Doctor Strange), Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Jacob Tremblay (The Toxic Avenger) to join stars Tom Hiddleston and Mark Hamill.
Production on the film, which started in Alabama earlier this month, is expected to last for several weeks.
King’s published The Life of Chuck contains three separate stories that tell the tale of Charles Krantz in reverse–starting with his death from a brain tumor at age 39 and ending with his childhood in a haunted house.
