He brings a whole new meaning to the word ugly.

Pre-orders are now live for a new five-inch scale figure of The Toxic Crusader from Trick or Treat Studios. The collectible–inspired by the 1984 cult classic and the 1990s toy line–was developed by Justin Mabry and Michelle Varner. Check out photos of the new figure–courtesy of Toyark–on this page.

The Toxie figure includes a shield, a toxic bandolier, toxic waste drum grenades, a secret glow-in-the-dark weapon and a can of slime. Priced at $19.99, the figure is scheduled for release Aug. 2.

An R-rated remake of the original Troma Entertainment film–written and directed by Macon Blair–wrapped production some time ago, but no release window has yet been released.

The new film–starring Peter Dinklage in the title role, Kevin Bacon, Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Jonny Coyne, Sarah Niles, Elijah Wood and Julia Davis–follows hapless janitor Winston, who tumbles into a vat of toxic waste and is transformed into “a monster who sets out to do good and to get back at the people who have wronged him.”
