Longtime horror notable Barbara Crampton wants to be “alone with you” next month.
Dark Star Pictures will release a new horror entry–Alone with You–in theaters Feb 4 (and on VOD and digital Feb. 8), and have dropped a trailer to tease fans. Check out the tension-packed clip, courtesy of JoBlo.com, on this page.
Alone with You–the feature directorial debut for Emily Bennett and Justin Brooks–stars Bennett and Crampton, and follows a young woman (Bennett) as she “prepares a romantic homecoming for her girlfriend,” according to the official synopsis.
As the woman goes about her work, her apartment starts to feel “more and more like a tomb as voices, shadows and hallucinations reveal a truth she has been unwilling to face.”
The film–also starring Dora Madison (Friday Night Lights) and Emma Myles (Orange Is the New Black)–is produced by Andrew Corkin and Theo James under their Untapped banner.
Crampton is well-known to horror fans for her laundry list of genre features, including Re–Animator (1985), You’re Next (2011), We Are Still Here (2015) and last year’s Jakob’s Wife.
In discussing the new film, the directors in a statement said they love horror “that creeps up on you and breathes down your neck. Horror is universal because it is something we are all born into. The dreaded unknown. The terror of the void. The fear of being left in the dark. Alone.”
