Once you get in, can you get out?

Escape the Field–a new horror entry from Lionsgate–debuts next month, and a chilling trailer dropped this week that sets an ominous tone. Check out the video and poster for the film–courtesy of JoBlo.com–on this page.

The thriller–set for a day-and-date theatrical, digital, and on-demand release May 6–is the feature debut for director Emerson Moore, who wrote the screenplay with Sean M. Wathen and J.D. Dobkin.

Escape the Field–starring Jordan Claire Robbins (Supernatural), Theo Rossi (Army of the Dead), Tahirah Sharif (The Haunting of Bly Manor), Julian Feder (The Doorman), Elena Juatco (Schitt’s Creek) and Shane West (The Presence)–follows six strangers who suddenly awaken in a remote, endless cornfield, according to the synopsis.

The frightened strangers have only a gun (with a single bullet), matches, a lantern, a knife, a compass and a flask of water. As sirens blare in the distance and traps appear everywhere, “the group realizes they have been plunged into a cat-and-mouse game with an unseen evil. And survival depends upon solving a diabolical–and deadly–puzzle.”
