The new survival horror film Triggered–not to be confused with the thriller with the same name from last year–will bring its unique brand of techno-terror direct-to-VOD next month.
The first trailer for Triggered (check it out below) is a chilling sneak peek at this bleak teen horror movie that calls into question what you would do for friendship, as reported by firstshowing.net.
Triggered–from Samuel Goldwyn Films and Octane Entertainment–hits VOD platforms Nov. 6. The indie film had its coming-out party at FrightFest earlier this year.
The storyline of the film–which boasts the tagline, “Friends with some time to kill”–follows nine friends who all carry a dark secret. One fateful day, following a hard night of partying while camping out in the woods, they wake up to a horrifying reality: Suicide bombs have been strapped to their chests, each with different times on the countdown clocks.
Thinking frantically, the friends decide to figure out how to disarm the bombs or try to find help before it’s too late. And then they discover they can “take” one another’s time by killing each other! What price friendship?
Triggered is directed by Alastair Orr (House on Willow Street) and written by David D. Jones (The Passenger). The film stars Sean Cameron Michael (Broken Darkness), Liesl Ahlers (Obsession), Reine Swart (The Lullaby), Suraya Santos (Fried Barry) and Craig Urbani (The Construct).
