Evil has a way of catching up to you.

The Harbinger–described as a “paranormal Hitchcockian thriller”–hits theaters and on-demand Sept. 2, and an eerie trailer has now dropped. Check out the clip and poster–courtesy of firstshowing.net–on this page.

The Screen Media film–directed by Will Klipstine from a screenplay he wrote with Amy Mills–stars Madeleine McGraw (The Black Phone), Irene Bedard (Smoke Signals), Amanda MacDonald (CSI TV franchise), Steve Monroe (House of the Dead 2) and Klipstine.

In The Harbinger, Daniel and Theresa Snyder–hoping to escape their past–“move their troubled young daughter Rosalie to a quaint Midwestern town, but they’re followed by the evil they tried to leave behind,” according to the synopsis.

When locals begin to die, the Snyders turn to a Native American seer “and uncover a legend that may hold the key to saving their family–or a path to a grisly end for them and all they hold dear.”
