“Is there life after death?”
The Gates–a new horror film with an impressive genre cast–hits digital and on-demand this Tuesday, June 27, and a trailer has arrived that offers a taste of the terrors in the offing. Check out the video on this page.
The feature–directed by Stephen Hall (Killer Night Shift), who wrote the screenplay with Tim Reynolds–stars Michael Yare (Knightfall), Richard Brake (The Munsters), John Rhys-Davies (the Indiana Jones franchise), Elena Delia (House of Shadows), David Pearse (The Banshees of Inisherin) and Peter Coonan (The Alienist).
The film–set in 1892 London–finds convicted and sentenced William Colcott placing a curse on everyone in his prison before his execution in the electric chair.
Following the execution, “a pair of paranormal investigators and a mysterious medium must work together to stop his evil spirit from escaping the prison,” according to the synopsis.
