Every ending has a beginning.

The much-anticipated fourth season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things will kick off next month, and the first trailer for the two-part season dropped this week. Check out the terrifying teaser–courtesy of Deadline–on this page.

Fans will recall that Season 3 ended with the young heroes battling the Mind Flayer at the Starcourt Mall. Well, things haven’t improved much.

The upcoming season–which starts with Volume 1 on May 27, and continuing with Volume 2 on July 1–starts six months after the battle at Starcourt. “Struggling with the aftermath, the friends are separated for the first time. And navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier,” according to the logline.

And then, “a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that–if solved–might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”

The fourth season–led, as always, by series creators Matt and Ross Duffer–stars the returning Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono and Brett Gelman.

The newcomers include horror legend Robert Englund as Victor Creel, Jamie Campbell Bower as Peter Ballard, Eduardo Franco as Argyle, Joseph Quinn as Eddie Munson, Sherman Augustus as Lt. Col. Sullivan, Mason Dye as Jason Carver and Nikola Djuricko as Yuri.

Stranger Things debuted on Netflix in 2016 and followed the residents of Hawkins, Ind. in the 1980s as they dealt with the supernatural threat of the alternate dimension known as the Upside Down. The series has already garnered 39 Primetime Emmy Award nominations (with six wins) and four Golden Globe Award noms.
