What is lost will be found.
The next genre Netflix series–1899–will debut next month, and the official trailer has dropped to give fans a peek at the strange story on tap. Check out the video–courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter–on this page.
The eight-episode first season–from Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese (Dark)–is set to hit Netflix Nov. 17. It’s the first Netflix show shot entirely in a virtual studio, using LED-Volume technology that allows complex visual effects shots to be done in-camera.
The series–according to the brief logline–takes place in the year 1899 aboard the Kerberos “where nothing is as it seems. The passengers–during their journey across the treacherous Atlantic Ocean–encounter the biggest mystery of their lives.”
The cast includes Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Andreas Pietschmann, Miguel Bernardeau, Rosalie Craig, Isabella Wei, Gabby Wong, Fflyn Edwards and Alexandre Willaume–all of whom speak in their native languages.
