Take the next step up Silent Hill.
Silent Hill: Ascension–an interactive series spinoff of the Silent Hill video game franchise–will debut later this year. Check out the trailer on this page.
Ascension–created by Genvid, Bad Robot Games and Konami–follows multiple main characters from locations around the world and monsters that threaten to “consume people and entire towns as they’re drawn into the darkness by recent murders and suppressed guilt and fears,” according to the description.
In Ascension, players’ actions determine how things develop for the main characters and, by the time the interactive series ends, players will see who survived–and who met their end. Multiple endings have been plotted out to allow players to make decisions that end the series.
Chris Amaral, art director at Bad Robot Games, said the developers “went the extra mile to create a dreamlike world in Silent Hill: Ascension–with disturbing characters, other-worldly monsters, immersive atmospheres and an audio and video design we’re very proud of.”
Amaral added that the “detailed environments, eerie ambiance and realistic characters and monsters should enhance the horror experience–creating something that is pure Silent Hill.”
