A new look is coming to Dead Space.
The remake of the seminal 2008 survival horror video game Dead Space will arrive in two weeks, and a revealing trailer has been unveiled to whet the appetites of gamers everywhere. Check out the video on this page.
What fans will notice first is that the game’s protagonist–engineer Isaac Clarke–has received a makeover. The original game portrayed Clarke mainly as a silent hero figure, but the remake shows him with a new face–and he may actually resemble Gunnar Wright, the actor who brings him to life in the game.
The new Dead Space–releasing Jan. 27–will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
The game–developed by EA Redwood Shores and published by Electronic Arts–is set on a mining spaceship that’s overrun by monstrous Necromorphs following the discovery of an artifact called the Marker. Players control Clarke as he navigates the ship and fights off the Necromorphs, while struggling with his growing psychosis.
