Trailer Drops For ‘Brooklyn 45’ Before June Shudder Debut

by Thomas Tuna

The ghosts of your past are looking for you.

Brooklyn 45–a new horror film that premiered at this year’s SXSW Festival–will debut on Shudder next month, and a trailer and poster arrived this week to prime the pump. Check out the promos on this page.

The film–set to start streaming June 9–is written and directed by Ted Geoghegan (We Are Still Here) and produced by Seth Caplan, Emily Gotto, Michael Paszt, Pasha Patriki and Sarah Sharp.

Starring Anne Ramsay, Ron E. Rains, Jeremy Holm, Larry Fessenden, Ezra Buzzington and Kristina Klebe, the pic is set in December 1945, as five military veterans gather in the parlor of a Brooklyn brownstone.

Best friends since childhood, they have reunited to support their troubled host–“but when his invitation for cocktails turns into an impromptu seance, the metaphoric ghosts of their past become all too literal,” according to the synopsis.

Trapped in their host’s lounge, the friends find themselves “put to one final test–with their only route to freedom being more bloodshed.”
