Amblin Entertainment has just released the official trailer for Eli Roth’s The House with a Clock in Its Walls. The movie follows an orphan named Lewis Barnavelt who accidentally awakens the dead.
The film stars Owen Vaccaro as Lewis, Jack Black as Jonathan Barnavelt and Cate Blanchett as Mrs. Zimmerman. Kyle MacLachlan, Colleen Camp, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Sunny Suljic and Perla Middleton are set to co-star. The film will be released by Universal Pictures.
Known for bloody classics such as Hostel and The Green Inferno, Eli Roth steps into the directors role with his take of the children’s classic novel which was written in 1973 by John Bellairs with art by Edward Gorey.
The two minute trailer showcases a spooky house mixed with monsters, and mishaps filled with classic Jack Black antics. This project also appears to be a bit more kid friendly than any of Roth’s previous works.
