“You cannot let her out of the basement.”

Baghead–a horror pic that started filming in Berlin two years ago–will hit theaters next month, and a trailer dropped this week. Check out the horrors to come on this page.

The Studiocanal and The Picture Company entry–slated for the big screen in January–is adapted from a short story of the same name by director Alberto Corredor and screenwriters Christina Pamies and Bryce McGuire.

The cast is led by Freya Allan (The Witcher) and Ruby Barker (Bridgerton)–alongside Ned Dennehy, Jeremy Irvine, Peter Mullan, Saffron Burrows and Julika Jenkins.

Baghead follows Iris (Allan) as she learns she has inherited a rundown, centuries-old pub. She travels to Berlin to meet with the solicitor (Dennehy) to discuss the estate, but she has no idea that she “will become tied to an unspeakable entity living in the pub’s basement–a shape-shifting creature called Baghead.”

Together with her best friend Katie (Barker), Iris “must battle for control of Baghead and find a way to destroy it before it destroys them.”
