The tourists–and zombies–are flocking to the Big Apple.

Three new cast members this week signed on for Isle of the Dead–the next spinoff of AMC’s soon-to-conclude The Walking Dead series. Check out the Twitter post that makes the official announcement–courtesy of comicbook.com–on this page.

The six-episode series–filming now in New Jersey for a debut on AMC and AMC+ sometime next year–has added Zeljko Ivanek (Damages) as The Croat, Jonathan Higginbotham (The Blacklist) as Tommaso and Mahina Napoleon (NCIS: Hawai’i) as Ginny to the cast.

The trio joins Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, Lauren Cohan as Maggie and Gaius Charles as Perlie Armstrong in a dangerous trek across a post-apocalyptic Manhattan “long ago cut off from the mainland,” according to the synopsis. The once-proud metropolis is now “filled with the dead, as well as denizens who have made New York City their own world of anarchy, danger, beauty and terror.”

Isle of the Dead is led by showrunner Eli Jorne–a writer and executive producer on TWD–and executive producers Scott M. Gimple, Cohan and Morgan.

AMC president of entertainment Dan McDermott said the spinoff will “explore a corner of TWD universe on the island of Manhattan–with an iconic skyline that takes on a very different meaning when viewed through the lens of a zombie apocalypse.”
