Season 3 of Servant–created by Tony Basgallop with Shyamalan as executive producer–will hit Apple TV+ Jan. 21, 2022, and will continue the story of a Philadelphia couple in mourning. “An unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage,” according to the Season 1 synopsis, “but also welcomes a mysterious force into their home.”
The upcoming 10-episode third season picks up three months after Season 2 and the death of Aunt Josephine, and Leanne (Nell Tiger Free) is “extra paranoid.” She is having nightmares of her creepy “aunt” and “the horrors she left behind in the Church of the Lesser Saints.”
Despite the family’s hopes for a return to normalcy with their returned baby Jericho, “it’s very clear that they’re not out of the woods just yet. Not even close.”
The rest of the cast of Servant includes Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell and Rupert Grint, with Sunita Mani joining the ensemble for Season 3.
Shyamalan–who will direct at least one episode this season–revealed he has an ending in mind for Servant. “We worked it all out,” he said, “and I spent the pandemic just writing out everything I wanted and dreamed for the remainder of the show.” Given that, is there a fourth season in the offing?
