Kids do the darnedest things.
There’s Something Wrong with the Children–another Blumhouse Productions feature developed exclusively for MGM+–arrives in a month, and a trailer was rolled out this week to tease the New Year horrors. Check out the video over at Entertainment Weekly.
The film–directed by Roxanne Benjamin (Body at Brighton Rock) from a screenplay by T.J. Cimfel and David White–releases on digital and on-demand Jan. 17, 2023 and then hits MGM+ March 17.
The feature follows Margaret (Alisha Wainwright) and Ben (Zach Gilford) as they take a weekend trip with longtime friends Ellie (Amanda Crew) and Thomas (Carlos Santos) and their two young children (Briella Gutza and David Mattie), according to the synopsis.
Before too long, though, the vacation turns eerie and disturbing. Ben begins to suspect “something supernatural is taking place when the kids behave strangely after disappearing into the woods overnight.”
The film’s executive producers include Jason Blum, Josh Reinhold, Jeremy Gold and Chris McCumber.
