‘The Witcher’ Signs New Cast Member For Season 3

Those monsters are in for it now–the next season of The Witcher is rolling right along.

The popular Netflix horror-fantasy series is already preparing for its third season, according to a report on comicbook.com, with a new cast member ready to come aboard and shooting about to start.

Reports have Safiyya Ingar (Summer of Rockets) joining Geralt and crew for Season 3, with filming on the new season expected to start later this month in Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. Netflix has not yet announced a release window for the next season.

Ingar’s role has not been confirmed, but speculation has her perhaps playing the role of Milva, an archer who met up with Geralt of Rivia during the events chronicled in the Baptism of Fire entry in Andrzej Sapkowski’s book series that inspired the TV series.

The show–led by showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich–will continue the adventures of Geralt (Henry Cavill), the sorceress Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) and Princess Ciri (Freya Allan) across The Continent–where humans, Elves, gnomes and monsters battle for supremacy.

The second season of The Witcher debuted last December at No. 1 on the streamer’s Top 10 ratings list.
