The Walking Dead Weekly Wrap up- “Still”

Synopsis: A bizzare but enlightening mission is brought on by a group member’s simple request.

Thoughts: **SPOILERS** Let’s be honest, there was a lot of buzz around this episode as fan favorite, Daryl Dixon has not been seen in a while. So the first half of the episode is spent finding young Beth some liquor.  I must say I was a bit puzzled by this plot line at first.  I mean THIS is why they encounter zombie battles and risk their lives.

For hardcore horror fan, this episode had a few good walker kills.  Beth’s wine bottle attack and Daryl’s golf club beatdown.  However, the episode also showed a bit of “The Walking Dead” leaning more towards mainstream drama rather than horror.

At the end of the show, and after a couple  bottles of moonshine, Beth manages to breakdown Daryl emotionally.  We learn a lot of about who Daryl was before the apocalypse, and really shows off how much his character has grown over the seasons. Great performances by Emily Kinney and Norman Reedus in this episode. After fighting zombies and being on the run together, without even having a conversation, we actually see a deep bonding moment.  You can’t help but wonder what’s next for this pair as they travel down this road.
