The Walking Dead Weekly Wrap up- “Inmates”

Synopsis: The group encounters obstacles in their quest for stability and safety.

Thoughts: **SPOILERS** This week’s Walking Dead saw the return not only of Carol, but also of …Baby Judith!!!  As we see the group split up into smaller groups of people, who maybe weren’t the closest in the past, it’s interesting to watch how they interact.  Besides physically drained, each member of the group is emotionally beaten down by the demise of the prison and their community. We see them all show their frustrations and sadness, as well as their strength and hardened shells.

As for you gore whores out there, there was enough brutal zombie kills and grotesque scenes to keep you satisfied too.  Glenn has certainly come along way since he was called “walker bait,” as he barrels through a whole herd of zombies to find Maggie. Lauren Cohan as Maggie, gives a stand out performance this week going through a wide range of emotions. However, even in her weakest moments, Maggie is still as strong as ever and kicking every walker’s ass that gets in her way. A great episode with a even mix of drama and horror.

So what now?  How will Abraham (who comic fans recognize) and his crew mix with the others? Will the group ever meet up with each other again? Will these smaller groups be able to stay intact? Will they all survive with no safe haven?  Stay tuned!
