The new game–The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners—Chapter 2: Retribution–celebrates the second anniversary of the original game–from Skydance Interactive and Skybound Entertainment–which launched Jan. 23, 2020 and has raked in more than $60 million so far.
The new game–which does not yet have a debut date–will release for PlayStation VR, Oculus Quest (or Meta Quest) and other PC VR platforms. In Retribution, players will again take on the role of the Tourist, meet new characters and face new threats as they try to survive what’s left of New Orleans in a continuation of the storyline from the original game.
Skydance head honcho Chris Busse said the past two years have been “absolutely incredible” for the original game. “We’re excited to announce Chapter 2, and we can’t wait to let players explore the new adventures that await them in the French Quarter and beyond,” Busse added.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners–a virtual reality first-person shooter survival horror game–is set in New Orleans after a zombie outbreak. The player takes on the role of the Tourist, and can kill Walkers by “braining” them–stabbing them through the skull. Players also can scale buildings to ambush enemies and attack with throwing weapons, bows and long-range firearms.
