Not exactly kissin’ cousins here.
A new horror pic with the intriguing title of The Skulleton is filling out its cast even as shooting starts in Connecticut, according to a report on Deadline. No release window has been announced.
The cast is led by Oscar nominee Bruce Dern (The Hateful Eight), Tyrese Gibson (Morbius), Shawnee Smith (the Saw franchise) and Taryn Manning (Orange is the New Black)–along with Damian Maffei, Drew Moerlein, Alexander James Rodriguez, Jaime Zevallos, James Gaudioso and Anthony Gaudioso.
The film–directed by Ante Novakovic from a screenplay by Anthony and James Gaudioso–follows Moira Cole (Smith), who “attempts to move on with her shattered life after the brutal murder of her friends and family at the hands of her deranged and obsessed cousin,” according to the synopsis.
As Moira lives “a quiet suburban life with her deeply affected adult sons, she is constantly reminded of her past–which is strewn across the screen every October, having been optioned into a popular film franchise.”
Rob Simmons produced the feature–with Laura Barbato, Drew Morlein and Peter D’Amato serving as executive producers.
