‘The Not Polly’ Inks Lead, Will Start Shooting By Year’s End

Looks like being dead isn’t the worst of her problems.

The Not Polly–a new horror film being shopped by Bankside Films–has signed its lead, and is expected to start production by the end of the year in Kentucky, according to a report on Deadline.

The feature–directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) from an original story by Japanese producer Yasushi Akimoto–stars Jade Pettyjohn (the upcoming supernatural thriller Burnouts) as Polly, “the most popular and most beautiful girl in school,” according to the synopsis.

But there’s a fly in the ointment. One night, Polly wakes up after a party to find she is “trapped in a morgue–apparently dead–with no reflection, no pulse and no heartbeat. To make matters worse, she’s been possessed.” Must have been one helluva party.

James Harris, Eiko Matsumoto, Riki Melwani and Sean DeMott are producing the film, which does not yet have a release window.
