This is the wrong number from hell.
Bad Connection–a new horror thriller that shows the danger of examining the wrong cell phone too closely–is currently being produced by The Ninth House, according to a report on Collider.
The film–which does not yet have a release window–comes from producer/director Jake Helgren (Nightmare Nurse), who also co-wrote the screenplay with Stephen Wells.
Starring Dana Davis (Prom Night) and Chris Gann (For All Mankind), the movie follows a waitress (Davis) who buys a new cell phone–and then discovers a snuff film on it. That’s bad enough, but then she becomes the target of a madman (Gann), “who will stop at nothing to get the phone back–including destroying anything or anyone in his way,” according to the synopsis.
Bad Connection–which also stars Camila Banus, Orel De La Mota, Courtney Halverson and Brooke Anne Smith–has Vanessa Shapiro, Michael Madnick and Tim Stearns on board as executive producers.
