‘The Medium’ Horror Video Game Comes To The Small Screen

by Jayson Drury

The afterlife is coming to a TV near you.

The Medium–the popular psychological horror video game–is being adapted into a TV show by Platige Image and game developer Bloober Team, according to a report on comicbook.com.

Gamers know The Medium–released last year for Xbox Series X/S and PC and then for PlayStation 5–tells the story of Marianne, a spirit medium who helps troubled souls find rest. She passes between the living and spirit realms–all while being tortured by nightmares and trying to grapple with a devastating loss of her own.

It’s not known at this time where or when the TV adaptation will appear, but it is being supervised by Platige Media’s Tomasz Baglinski and Bloober chief executive Piotr Babieno. The companies said they believe this is the perfect time for the video game adaptation–pointing to the success of shows like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Arcane.

Keep your senses attuned to Horror News Network for the latest on this adaptation of The Medium.
