This is one bad Santa.
The Mean One–a twisted take on the holiday favorite How the Grinch Stole Christmas–will get a VOD release this fall, just in time for the spooky season.
The horror pic–which hit the big screen last December–will get an on-demand release Oct. 3, courtesy of DeskPop Entertainment.
The XYZ film parody–directed by Steven LaMorte from a screenplay by Flip and Finn Kobler–stars David Howard Thornton (famed as Art the Clown from the Terrifier franchise) as a “hairy, green-skinned grump in a Santa suit” who lives on a mountaintop above the town of Frazier Park.
As it turns out, this guy hates Christmas. And, just to stir the pot a bit more, Cindy You-Know-Who (Krystie Martin)–whose parents were killed by The Mean One two decades earlier–has come back to town, seeking closure. Uh oh.
