‘The Last Of Us’ Unveils Full Trailer Before January Debut

The Clickers are almost here.

Just a couple of days ago, HBO dropped several characters posters for its highly anticipated The Last of Us series, and now the full trailer is here. Check out the emotional and frightening video on this page before the show hits HBO Max Jan. 15, 2023.

The 10-episode first season of the adaptation of the hit video game follows Joel (Pedro Pascal), a smuggler trying to survive during the throes of a horrifying zombie outbreak. He teams up with a girl, Ellie (Bella Ramsey), and they make their way across the wasteland of the U.S.–as monsters and worse dog every step they take.

The series–from executive producer and screenwriter Craig Mazin–also stars Gabriel Luna as Joel’s kid brother Tommy; Merle Dandridge as Marlene, leader of the resistance movement known as the Fireflies; Jeffrey Pierce as Perry, a rebel in the quarantine zone; Anna Tory as Tess, Joel’s smuggling partner; Lamar Johnson as Henry; and Kelvonn Woodard as Sam.

The rest of the cast includes Nick Offerman, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker.

In The Last of Us video game–released for PlayStation 3 in 2013–players use various weapons to defend themselves against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures. The game has won several Game of the Year honors.
